Table Lamps in Calacatta Marble & Brass, Pair

Table Lamps in Calacatta Marble & Brass, Pair
Timelessness and simplicity are parallels which when achieved, result in a design that is eternally attractive. Walter von Nessen was one of the great lighting designers of the Mid-Century. Nessen’s sculptural aesthetic was minimalist yet his sense of materiality was quite playful, most evident in this stunning example of his work.
Standing tall are two columns of exquisitely polished Calacatta Marble with rich golden veins flowing through their surface. The veins are accentuated by Satin Brass necks, the material paring was an expert design decision by Nessen who often explored unique materials in his body of work.
Each lamp is equipped with dual lamping with a devoted pull-chain on each socket; allowing for just a bit of accent light or full-room brightness. Each brass pull-chain is finished with white ceramic pulls. We suggest a round drum shade as pictured (lampshade not included). Dimensions listed account for the lamp itself to the top of the finial.
