Pace Collection Large Waterfall Cocktail Table
Pace Collection Large Waterfall Cocktail Table
With the goal of creating pieces of high-design that differed from contemporaries such as Knoll and Herman Miller, Irving & Leon Rosen founded the Pace collection in 1960. They looked to the simplicity of materials to be the voice of their collection, all expertly fabricated and finished. Polished metals and high gloss exotic veneers were commonplace and to this day remain unapologetically Pace.
A popular design of the Pace Collection is this waterfall motif table. They were produced in all shapes, sizes, and finishes. The structure was quite a feat for Rosen, effortlessly assembling gorgeous slabs of glass with two extraordinary cast metal brackets. It is without a doubt a celebration of glass and how weightless it might appear while in reality quite substantial. This particular waterfall cocktail table is quite monumental in its materials with larger-than-usual steel brackets and gorgeous 3/4" glass. This is the perfect table for a living room or den for all the family to gather around, or even a well appointed office or home workspace.

Good. Discrete chips on glass within metal brackets, typical on this design, hard to see and does not remove from the piece's structural integrity. Abrasions and wear to steel brackets exist consistent with age, history, and use. Overall a fine example.
