Eppinger 12' Burlwood Credenza
Eppinger 12' Burlwood Credenza
Good design seamlessly combines function and exceptional form, a hallmark of the Mid-Century Modern movement. This era moved away from the ornate styles of the past, embracing elegant simplicity in the home. Renowned designers such as Florence Knoll and Milo Baughman created furniture that was both purposeful and crafted from timeless, exotic materials. This vintage, custom-built, monumental 12-foot-long credenza by Eppinger New York embodies that spirit.
Eppinger drew inspiration from Milo Baughman’s work, utilizing high-fashion materials like burlwood and chrome, and executed the aesthetic with remarkable skill. The credenza features stunning book-matched elm burlwood veneer on every surface, both inside and out. Chrome accents enhance the design, appearing on each of the eight recessed pulls and the toe-kick. Four spacious cabinets provide extensive storage options, including adjustable shelves and drawers with built-in dividers, one of which is equipped with tracks for hanging files. The versatile functionality of this credenza makes it suitable as a statement buffet or a sleek office centerpiece.
Designed in two pieces for easier transport and installation, the credenza features levelers beneath both sections to ensure perfect alignment. Dowels and fasteners are available to securely join the two pieces. Locks on either end of the credenza are functional, with the original key included.
This piece remains in its original condition, showing wear consistent with age and history, and has undergone a thorough polish by our team. Due to its size and detail, additional photos or a detailed condition report are available upon request.
